FINDING IT – Miguel Jacq

between the metal
of fork tines
pried apart
you’ll find it

steam rolling
against shower glass
a cousin to the flame
heated licks of air
you’ll find it

eclipsing the sun
a black nothing
you can’t look at
blindly grasp
you’ll find it

behind giant teeth
of mechanical birds
a lawnmower’s massacre
of more organic things
in the high grass
you’ll find it

cracking open clay
with chopsticks
slicing down
along intravenous tollways
under freshly laid skin
you’ll find it

in the pounding
ecstasy of a square peg
truth kicked in the groin
before the hollow void
greets you
you’d better find it
