Cynicism – Anthony Ward

I’ll take sentiment over cynicism any day.
This clichéd scepticism tires me-
Leaves me lacklustre about the world,
Sticking two fingers at those conflicting people
Scorning love and romance in favour of put downs
In preparedness for lives they’re not going to live.
