The Poetry Jar

Robin – Wendy Strohm

Out in the garden I weed and tend
And seem to have found a small new friend
He follows me around as I hoe
Finding worms the earth does show
He chirps and sings a song so sweet
A livelier fellow I will not meet
He looks so smart with a breast of red
But as a winter sun sets – he’s off to bed.
